Our Customer is a financial and professional services firm specializing in real estate and investment management. They are continuing to rollout a shared service processes and have established the European Finance Centre in Warsaw, Poland. EFC performs accounting activities for businesses located across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

Wymagania

Characteristics of Candidate
• FLUENT spoken & written English is a must
• Basic understanding of US GAAP and local statutory accounting and reporting requirements
• Excellent skills in MS Excel
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft or other ERP package is an advantage
• Good organizational skills and methodical working approach
• Ability to work to a high level of accuracy and consistency
• 1 year experience of working in a financial shared service centre or a large financial organization
• Ability to work within tight operational deadlines
• Ability to work in a team
• Service-oriented with superior customer service skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Sensitivity to inter-cultural issues when dealing with a range of internal clients and external vendors

Obowiązki

The successful candidate will be required to ensure that accounting records for the business units they are responsible for present a true and fair view of the activities. Junior General Ledger Accountant will be the ERP system expert who has a clear understanding of all accounting entries and their source transactions; in particular this person will be responsible for:
• Preparing monthly general ledger account reconciliations as assigned, including intercompany accounts
• Analyzing P&L and Balance Sheet for posting errors, adequate accruals and the correct application of accounting rules
• Payroll accounting
• Bank reconciliation
• Providing sufficient and timely accrual information to the local finance
• Running Month End Close Reports (Month End Integrity - Reports) and funding reports
• First line contact and support to any finance related queries
• Application of corporate policies and procedures as well as statutory and SOX requirements
